I seriously can’t get enough of Rashida Coleman-Hale’s Washi range! I’ve previously stashed the Washi Tape in cream and charcoal, and now I have the triangles and florals too. LOVE! And the ironic thing? Both times I’ve purchased Washi was because I was buying fabrics for my sister’s quilt and they were on sale (*coughFlatRateFillerscough*) – they still are at Pink Chalk. Talking of sister’s quilt, I needed a little bit more red-based fabric, and Laurie Wisbrun’s Perfectly Perched Scrolls in Red was just the right type. I think I’m adding Ms Wisbrun to my favourites list… have you seen her newest range with the adorable crab selvages?!
I’ve also had some winnings and swap mail this week. I won 6 fat quarters from Gemma at Pretty Bobbins, and I was so ecstatic as I needed those beautiful Michael Miller hearts (second from left)!!
And another sewing print? Be still my notioned heart…
I also swapped some solids with Simone from Local Honey Crafts for 3 fat quarters, plus she threw in that adorable little bunnies and flower print. And all so beautifully wrapped up in tissue paper and cutesie deer and everything!
Finally, whilst ordering fabric for an upcoming blog hop starring here next month (stay tuned for details!), I added some solids to the envelope. Seriously, USPS has a lot to answer for to us “international” customers. When you’re spending $18 on postage, you wanna make it worth your while! AKA spend more on fabric than postage.
Mmm, hello my cheap-Quilt-Con-bundle-plus-extras pretties…
Gosh, after last week’s 4 metres of Art Gallery Fabrics, I think I’m feeling a little full of fabric! I know, I know, us hoarders are insatiable, but still. These Sunday Stash posts sure make you realise just how much you’ve got coming in!
As a solids virgin (other than white!), what should I make to break me in to the world of solids?!

Oh Alyce what wonderful additions you have this week! Those Washi prints are really lovely. Gosh I’ll feel bad if you had to get those solids just to trade with me; but they are so pretty. I saw this the other day http://www.diaryofaquilter.com/2012/09/farmers-wife-quilt-along-meets-modern.html
which might be a good thing to use solids for. Or a chevron mini quilt.

Great additions to the stash! You know the old saying..”She who dies with the most fabric wins!” Your solids are especially lovely! I have recently seen a fabulous sewing machine cover in solids, by my friend Di:

Good luck deciding what to make!

You have really added some lovelies this week and I am glad to hear of you and Simone doing some swapping. I have a beginner stack of 16 FQs coming from Pink Chalk and I can’t wait. Solids are great for sashing blocks. Thanks for linking up again.

Hahahah. So true to get your monies worth with the flat rate shipping! 9 yards is a lot of fabric to make up. I’m still holding out for the Bella bundle, but I am loving the look of the Washi prints!
Solids are so gorgeous to buy and a lot easier to work with! No prints to co-ordinate and all colours tend to go together =D

Excellent additions to the stash! I even stashed a couple of the same ones recently! I’m just too embarrassed (or lazy?!) to share my latest fabric bender! hehehe

Totally agree on the USPS! May as well fill up that envelope with at least 7 yards to make it worthwhile sending it all the way here to the Antipodes! I’ve only just started building a stash but it’s certainly addictive!

I love your solids. Yes, definitely fill up that shipping box. Those were a great addition. I admit, I add solids to almost every project, I find they really add balance to the prints with which they coordinate. There’s a group on Flickr called For the Love of Solids. You might check that for some inspiration about what to do with those lovelies! http://www.flickr.com/groups/fortheloveofsolids/
