I wrote down everything I need and want to get done in March. A good but scary, scary idea… Being away all of February has really thrown out my sewing “schedule”! So forget just one finish for this month, I have several! Although granted most are “only” blocks for Bees and such…
Must Do:
– Two blog hop projects: One I am running (stay tuned) and another I’m joining in = One quilt block, one project
– Two secret projects: One quilt block, one project
– Four Bee blocks: February and March Wombat Stew blocks, February and March Bee blocks
– Three preschool bags for a friend: My first “commission”, although I did offer my services but I did so knowing that she was going to be asking some to do them anyway!
– Any preschool bags my son needs too! Preschool bags need to be “handmade” – although they are commercially available to look like handmade – so of course I’ll make them!
Would Like To Do:
– Quilt my Good Fortune quilt! That was my original plan for March, until it got loaded up with the above…
– Start working on my next pattern: I have 4 sketched and math-ed, just gotta find the time!
And all of this in between unpacking/getting back into routine, getting my son ready for preschool next month, a little bit of extra work teaching English on a weekend when I normally could have sewn, enjoying the warmer weather (March 1 and Japan suddenly decides to go from 6 degrees to 15+ degrees during the day!), etc… Eep!!
Anyone else feeling stressed just reading that list?! Thankfully my machine was serviced last week and had “full overhaul” so this is certainly the month to get busy while it’s still so nice!

Lots to do – but one step at a time and I bet you’ll whip through that list with no trouble. Bet you’re itching to get sewing after your trip away!

You are going to be a very busy girl! I have to make a handful of preschool bags etc for my friend in Japan, for her children! I didn’t know they were meant to be, or look, handmade!

It certainly is a big list, but I am sure you can pull it off with ease.
I haven’t shared my list for march, but maybe I should as I have already crossed two quilt tops off it!
