Oh yes, I finally have my hands on Fandango! And that means I finally have at least some of all of Kate Spain’s fabric ranges, if not all for some of them. My life is complete. And a Kate Spain luggage tag for bonus love.
I once put a call out on Twitter for a Terrain precut and Kate pointed me to a Japanese friend of her’s who sells Moda and Kate Spain fabric. And a beautiful friendship was formed! Where I buy Kate Spain fabric and she sends it to me… Seriously though, Makiko is very lovely and she lives in my prefecture (state), so I hope we can meet one day! She has a fabric store – Red Coconut – and she is in the process of translating the interviews with Kate Spain for her blog. She offered to sponsor some Fandango as a prize and some for me, so I’m very excited to announce that these beautiful 12 fat quarters of Fandango have been added to the prize pool for the end of the month link up! That’s the one for projects made this month featuring Kate Spain fabrics (see the main post for all the link up info).
Yesterday I also did a big sewing table clean up (Instagram peek above, more details to follow this week). In this clean up I found a few prints that got buried instead of put away.
First up are these Prints Charming fat quarters Roslyn sent me as part of a package sent in payment for some HTML work on her blog. I definitely got the better deal – also sent was my favourite Aussie magazine, Caramello Koalas and Promite for my husband! I love these prints as they’re different shades from what I normally buy, so they fill a big hole in my stash!
Then these 4 fat quarters I won from the Quiltmaker blog during the 100 Blocks blog hop. The bottom print is going to Molli Sparkles – I saw it, thought of him straight away, asked him, and he said yes. Batik meets stained glass window? That’s so Joshua.
This final one is actually from my husband’s work conference this week he brought back for me – instead of a tote bag or a pen or some post-it notes, Becton Dickinson (some medical and scientific equipment business) gave out these furoshiki. Furoshiki are a large wrapping cloth traditionally used for carrying food or gifts, and this is a big one, at least a yard square. I made the joke I should wait for a baby with the initials “B.D.” and quilt this up as it’s the perfect size for a baby quilt! I will probably end up cutting around the BD bits, it would be good for lining bags.
Linking up to Sunday Stash!

That’s a might haul, and loving that ‘wrapping’!

So glad you liked those Prints Charming FQs – it’s quite hard buying fabric for other people! I am finding it really hard to choose 4 fqs for the ASWC swap – taste in fabric is such a personal thing!

“That’s so Joshua!” Heeeelarious! I’m so glad you thought of me because I am super excited about it! It looks like you cleaned up big this week. The Fandango alone, but then to also throw in Prints Charming! (I bought that same PC print this past week myself!) That yellow will be a great blender too!

If only my husband bought some fabric home from work! It’s a beautiful print, I wander if it can be found without the BD? Online fabric stalking session I think!
