As many of you will know, I also contribute over at And Sew We Craft – an Australian crafting/sewing/cooking blog, and home of the Modern Blocks QAL! We have started a crafting photo a day challenge, and we’re taking turns to create the monthly challenge lists. This month is my turn!
How it works
Each day, take a photo using the list as inspiration and upload it to your favourite social media site and hashtag it #aswcraftphotoaday. It’s really that simple! You can see them all on Instagram so far here to get an idea of what people are doing.
The most popular places are Instagram, being a visual social media site! But you can also share them on your blog, personal Facebook page, on the And Sew We Craft Facebook page, Pinterest, Twitter, Google +, wherever!
How you choose to interpret each day’s prompt is totally up to you. Go literal, think abstract, get arty, be simple. But most of all, try to make it crafty!
How to remember
If you miss a day, don’t stress! Either skip it, or play catch up – it’s up to you. The easiest way to remember to take a photo is to save it as your phone screensaver/lock screen. When I unlock my iPhone, I see it there and it reminds me to take the picture and saves me having to go searching for the list. Or you could just go on Instagram and search for the hashtag and see what people are sharing for the day.
To save the list to your phone, visit this page in your web browser. Tap and hold on the list picture, and then tap Save. I believe this covers just about every phone type – iPhone, Android and Windows? If not, quickly Google your specific phone and you should find the answer.
