It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas!! I just love Christmas. The atmosphere, the lights, the colours, the joy, the celebration of Jesus’ birthday with family and friends, and teaching my kids about the true meaning of Christmas… I just love it all! Our tree went up Sunday night, the Advent calendar has begun…
I made this two years ago for the Sew Seasonal blog hop and it uses the Sew Seasonal patterns from Quiet Play and my Ornamental blocks together to make 25. Each day, the kids take turns to pull out the next piece of the Nativity scene, a Bible verse and an activity, and the older they get, the more excited they are about doing it! If you would like to get both patterns, you can get the Christmas pattern bundle and save.
Plus I have an exciting new Christmas tutorial coming tomorrow for something that looks a little bit like this…
So keep an eye out for that one. But for today, it’s time to link up! So link up your normal, latest sewing projects plus ONE Christmas-themed post!! Don’t forget you can link directly from Instagram now, and if you use #sewcutetuesday over there we can find you that way too.

I love the advent calendar. When the grandkids eventually appear, I’ll have to make one. We never had one when I was growing up.
