It’s end of school-year/spring holidays here, so my sewing this week has been preschool bags for my friend, which I need to finish off this week and make a couple of new ones for my kids too!
Julie has experimented with HSTs to make this scrappilicious forest scene, and the movement of colours and shapes really captures my heart!
And Maryse’s clamshell quilt?! Oh yes please! This is one scrappy, curvy quilt that is on my bucket list. I think I would do raw-edge applique quilt-as-you-go style, because I don’t have the patience to turn under all the edges!
Rachel has finished her Farmer’s Wife Quilt and oh my word, isn’t it fabulous?! Such a modern feel to it, and that sashing? Perfect choice.
Can I just say thank you so much for coming back each week to link and click and comment and Pin?! I love this group of our’s, and I have so much fun browsing your projects and such a hard time to narrow it down to just 3 to share! Next week is the special monthly theme – flowers – because the cherry blossoms are just starting to bloom now! So start thinking of a flower-themed post you can link up alongside your usual weekly post.
Now it’s time to share with us your latest projects – stitching, sewing, finished or progress – and don’t forget you can link directly to an Instagram pic instead if you like. You can use #sewcutetuesday and @blossomheartquilts to help us all find you over there too.

I’m with you on the clam shell quilt. I know it’s pointless me even considering turning under all those edges! Even with raw edge clam shells, this quilt is quite a way down my list of ‘to make one day’ (as I know it is so much work!).

Alyce,
Thank you so much for featuring my Charlie Harper Tree Bird Quilt today. What a fun project that turned out to be after all my angst over it! My heart jumped a little when I saw it posted today, and I am so grateful to you.
I know how long Maryse worked on her clamshell quilt, and it’s just gorgeous. I think the Farmer’s Wife here is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. So alive with color. Vibrant, modern, and I agree, I love the cheeky binding, too.
Most sincerely,
Julie @ Pink Doxies
