Heeeeey, so yeah, last week’s post, huh? I was too busy doing this…
… to get to Sew Cute Tuesday, after having gotten all those HST maths and tutorial posts done. Sorry ’bout that! But we’re back in business this week, so let’s link it up! Aaaaand, it’s the first link up of the month, so that means it’s special linky time where you get to link up one bonus extra post to do with the theme! This month’s theme is flying geese! Flying geese quilt blocks…
Take your pick! So now it’s time to share with us your latest projects – stitching, sewing, finished or progress – and don’t forget you can link directly to an Instagram pic instead if you like, using #sewcutetuesday and @blossomheartquilts to help us all find you over there too.

Looks like you had a lovely time in Kyoto. Great weather too. I’d love to go there one day. I went to Tokyo when I was 17, but only for 5 days. I loved Japan and would love to go back.

I’m sorry I missed you! I live near the Eiga Mura. And I was going to make you ham and cheese okonomiyaki, too… 😉 Glad you got to see Kinkaku and Osaka Castle. Amazing places, aren’t they? I never tire of the wonders here in Kyoto.
Alyce says
Oh no!! I wish I’d known!! We were just faffing around the morning before we went to Eiga Mura too, after we’d checked out of the hotel! 🙁

Ohmy gosh – that looks like an amazing time!!!

It was! It was fun to play tourist but without all the stressful unknowns that can come from not knowing the country well, ie. this time (as opposed to 5 years ago when we came to Japan for a holiday), we knew how to best get around on public transport.

If this month’s theme is flying geese that’ll finally light a fire under me to photograph a quilt I finished over a month ago that’s full of geese, I call the design Goose Lane actually! Love seeing your adventures in Japan sprinkled in with your quilty goodness!
Alyce says
Ooh, can’t wait to see it!

We must have been ships in the night as I was in Kyoto too with my mum in the week of 16-25 May! First visit to Japan and I loved it! Already planning a trip back next year with the Golden Child in tow this time!

Ah! Yeah, I arrived Tuesday evening! If you’re in Tokyo before April, let me know!
