Once again, my fabulous pattern testers have absolutely rocked the Origami quilt pattern! I’m always blown away by the creativity and generosity of my testers for helping me release my patterns, and just wait until you see what I mean…
Baby Quilt
The baby quilt size for Origami is a sweet 39″ x 39″. The perfect size because you don’t need to piece a backing! I’m ALL for that.
Josephine made her’s in a range of beautiful blues, and as the Origami pattern is so quick to sew, she even had time to quilt and bind her quilt!
And then of course we have the pretty pink option, this one is by Luisa and is so sweet.
And of course, the Origami quilt pattern is the perfect pattern to crack out your Asian-themed fabrics! Just like Jo did for her baby quilt.
Throw Quilt
Next up are the throw quilts. The Origami throw quilt is 63″ x 75″, which is perfect for snuggling under while watching cheesy Christmas movies… or is that just me?
Patti was going to be making a baby quilt, but just couldn’t resist making more blocks! I can understand that when you use Anna Maria Horner fabric… bigger is always better.
Amanda pulled out Japanese fabrics that she had gotten from both a friend, and also from me while I was still in Japan! How awesome is that!
And here’s one for all you purple-lovers out there! Teresa has created a purplicious version of the Origami quilt pattern.
Beth is pleasing the Tula Pink fans with this gorgeous throw quilt in the Monkey Wrench fabric. So cute! The Origami quilt blocks are the perfect size to show off those feature prints.
Small Bed Quilt
This size of quilt is a single bed size at 75″ x 87″, or a good “large throw” size too. Take your pick!
Melissa made this beautiful version – the colours she’s used are so lovely!
Large Bed Quilt
I typically go up to a queen-size quilt in my patterns, and while this size at 87″ x 87″ is definitely big enough for a queen bed, I know that some prefer it larger, so I went with “large bed”.
The amazing Kat tested this size for me, and used some Asian-themed fabrics for her quilt. I love how she placed the paper crane block right in the middle!
And I just had to share one more photo of Kat’s quilt – can you see that quilting?! She did that herself… on a queen-sized quilt!
Which one has caught your fancy?! Let me know in the comments what fabric you’re planning on using for your Origami quilt – is it your favourite layer cake, a bundle of fat quarters, or some hoarded yardage?
Don’t forget to grab the pattern while it’s on sale for just $9 – buy it here. Sale ends tomorrow (AEDST).
