Dear, sweet, patient Ellie,
Oh sure I had given you a few quick cleans – a blow here or there to get rid of lint from around your bobbin, but it wasn’t until you started to get so tired and slow and uptight that I properly focused on your needs as a machine. I even Youtubed boring old men to work out how to best service your needs.
Dearest Ellie, I may not have mini attachments for my vacuum cleaner, or even know where your oil has gone, but I know that even just fully opening you up and brushing all your little nooks and crannies has made you so much happier. I found that secret spot behind the bobbin casing where you had really gotten tight with a few stuck threads. Oh how you hummed once I found it!
Your love language is phsyical touch. I get that now. I solemnly vow to regularly give you a good brush and blow to keep you happy and humming along so smoothly.
Apologetically your’s,
Alyce xx

Too funny! Your post – not the sewing machine dilemma! So glad you got it sorted out. I’ve cleaned mine out a few times too, but was a bit horrified when I sent it in for yearly maintenance and it was returned with a sandwich bag containing accumulated lint, dirt and threads that I obviously hadn’t found!

It is amazing how you can forget the importance of cleaning out your machine properly!.
Jano plays up too if I haven’t brushed out the lint for a while..I may need to give him a clean once I start sewing again =D

I haven’t touched my sewing machine for close to more than 6 months now…and I think the last time I did, it kept on getting stuck…might have to clean out some lint I suspect.
