I’ve already made a plan for July, and the idea of trying to make goals for THREE months in advance is just a little daunting/crazy, but why not?! Gives me some long-term goals too. And more leeway for not finishing July’s projects…
I’ve just joined the Great Granny Along – I’ve wanted to try granny squares for a while now, and this QAL is the perfect excuse to jump on the bandwagon! It’s like granny squares, but with an extra “generation”. Given that my great grandma is still alive and is now a great-great grandma thanks to my kiddles, it’s also a sentimental QAL. And I’m all about making quilts sentimental as it gives me the motivation to commit to them. I don’t think I’ll be making a full-sized quilt as I have enough of them on the go, but maybe some Christmas presents are in order.
I’ve started and need to finish a library bag that fits over the stroller handles. I’ve already pieced the front, I just need to brave up and make it into a bag. My first bag, as simple as it’s going to be, is still a little daunting.
And I’m also happy to update my July list:
- Transport I-spy quilt – Rows are pieced, bought the border fabric, now to add it and quilt!
- Sewing machine cover – Paper-pieced sewing machine still just sitting there…
- Japanese stitchery – Still almost finished. Slacker.
- Pillow covers – We are still in desperate need, and I still haven’t done a thing about it.
- July’s BOMs – HST BOM done the day it was posted! Just paid the next installment for the Fat Quarter Shop BOM.
- Little Apples quilt done! You can see Candy Apples in her glory here.
- Good Fortune quilt – Nothing done yet. I think this will fall into the Quarter’s plan, and not be done in July! Maybe to get the back pieced can be July’s task.
List lovingly,
Alyce xx
