I do not have shelves and shelves of fabric. I have a few small piles in the futon cupboard in the playroom. Over half of it has plans or is in use for projects, and the rest are either Japanese fabrics, layer cakes of lines I just had to have (a cheap way to get a taste of a whole line!), and then some just-because-I-love-them-so-much-I-must-have-them… but being a cheapskate, only if it’s been on sale! Like these pretty little prints in the random mini cuts they sell here: these are 35cm x 50cm. And a metre of sewing-themed ribbon. Also on sale.
And these Washi Tape half-yards in charcoal and beige from Hawthorne Threads… But hey, I’m in Japan, home of washi tape! I think that’s a very good reason to have some. I’m thinking a zippered pouch our two.
But hey, they’re only a little addition to the stash, right?!

I have just under 2m of Washi left on bolts. I’m so tempted to take it off the shelf and not sell it. Think it has been my favourite range the last year. 🙂

How cute is that fabric you picked up! I can’t decide whether I love the blue one with flowers more or the pink one with butterflies!
THere’s just too much cute fabric!
Love the idea of zippered pouches for the Washi tape fabric – perfect!

Oh Alyce I LOOOOVVVEEE that ribbon, it is so pretty and perfect! Can’t wait to see what you use it for. Hawthorne Threads was out of Washi last time I ordered and I’m resisting shopping at the moment, well, today anyway LOL Nice stash, I’m wonder how long it will stay small for 😉

It’s so nice to see your fabric choices Alyce – full of Japanese kawaii-ness. Ironic that the washi tape fabric probably went from Japanese designers to Chinese manufacturers then American sellers and then back to an Australian consumer living in Japan!
