I’ve been jumping from project to project this week, doing bits and pieces as inspiration strikes. I’ve done the next 2 blocks for the BOMs I’m participating in the very day that Jeni posted the tutorial and within 2 days of getting the Fat Quarter Shop’s one! Why yes, I am enjoying them, how can you tell?!
I’ve also been working on the transport I-Spy quilt for my son. I started this very soon after I got my machine last year, and then left it languishing with a slowly growing pile of prints and then bringing it to Japan with us. I finally pulled it out last week, trimmed the wonky blocks I made last year and cut up 5″ charms of the rest of the prints I’d bought to finish it off. The rows are now all pieced, I just need to sew them all together. The backing is already taken care of… just you wait ’til you see what it is! I’ll be adding a border to this one – a first for me – as it needs extra height and width, as well as taming the busyness of the front!
Then yesterday I started a library bag that will fit over the stroller handles… I haven’t gotten very far yet! Can you tell what design I’m going for?
