***GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED***
Here on Blossom Heart Quilts we’re just about to hit 100 followers! So to celeberate, I’m joining in the Blog Hop Party Giveaway run by the Quilting Gallery! And what better way to celebrate than sharing some Japanese fabric goodies.
For those who are new here, I moved to Japan with my family 3.5 months ago for my husband’s work. Between looking after my little kidlets (Jon-son is nearly 3 and Darling is almost 18 months) and a little bit of English teaching, I quilt and blog. Helps keep me sane! Somethings you might like to check out is A Very Merry Christmas HST Block of the Fortnight starting Tuesday 28th August, or maybe my finished quilts, or perhaps have a look Behind the Scenes! And why quilt? Well, what else will I do with all the gorgeous fabric I find here?! Oh that’s right, share with you…
Up for grabs is this little bundle of Kokka babushka/matryoshka fabric in 3 colourways. They’re an odd little Japanese precut size of approx. 15″ square and are a cotton/linen blend – perfect for bags or purses! I am seriously in love with babushka print fabrics and this one just so sweet with the birds and hearts and flowers and guitars! It’s just begging for fussy cutting!
Also on offer is a ¥1500 gift certificate to my fabric Etsy store! My brand new, only-a-month-old shop stocks Japanese fabrics including Suzuko Koseki, Kumiko Fujita, Sevenberry and other beautiful and kawaii Japanese fabrics!
To enter:
Leave a comment, any comment! Maybe let me know what you would make with these fabrics, or what you would buy with the gift certificate!
Bonus entry:
To celebrate almost 100 followers, my followers (old or new!) can leave an extra comment telling me so.
This giveaway is open internationally! Giveaway closes 7am Tuesday 4th September (JST) to comply with the Blog Hop Party guidelines and the winner chosen by random.org. Please make sure I have a way to email you if you are the winner – no-reply bloggers must leave their email address in their comment to be eligible. Good luck!

Alyce, the blue babushkas would be for the front re so of bag (rest co-ord material or linen). The green because tiny babushka have to with and see whether use as whole fabric on a purse or applique them as they are so cute. I am going to order some purple backed babushka material which will go well with the last colourway – still planning. Thank you for your generosity,

Such fun fabrics! If I win, I’d make something, perhaps a little tote, for my great-niece. She lived in Kyoto for a couple of months late last year. Her parents, both professors, were studying in Japan. I have so enjoyed learning about Japan through my niece’s travels. I hope to visit Japan in the near future.

Pick me, pick me! I LOVE Japanese fabrics. I enjoy using the smaller scraps to make potholders and towels for the kitchen and usually make pencil bags or make up bags with the larger squares for my daughter and son (guess who likes which!) Sara
