And as for grinners? Besides those lucky ladies? My kids at the latest paper piecing finish… A fire truck!
It is the next of Kristy at Quiet Play’s paper pieced transport patterns – the next is a train! I was a little cheeky and added in the road myself by drawing a couple of extra lines on the pattern. Once I’ve made the train, these 4 blocks will become a cushion for the kids. At 8″, these blocks are perfect for using up scraps. Well, yes I did buy some more blue for the sky, but that’s due to me not having any at all! The sky for the helicopter was one layer cake square, with some leftover too. And the patterns are simple and easy to follow! Except for user error when you’re tired and spend over half an hour piecing the ladder on the fire truck because you keep sewing on the wrong lines! Oy vey…
