I can, yet cannot, believe there’s only 50 days left in the year! Today is actually our 6 month anniversary of moving to Japan, which seems a little surreal!
So, 50 days ago I listed/predicted/hoped:
- Finish my sister’s gender neutral cot quilt – they’re not finding out what they’re having, so therefore:
- My sister’s girly pram quilt – finalise design and use my Art Gallery Fabric stash.
- My sister’s boy-ey pram quilt – decide design, choose fabrics, make!
- Make some bibs – Will be using a Clover & Violet pattern.
Uh yeah… I’ve kept working away at the cot quilt and am about halfway through piecing the top. And while these will be worked on over the next 50 days, I’m moving my deadline into January! With family arriving next month, I just won’t have the time.
- Finish my Sweet Treats Blog Hop project – TICK! My Blue Birds Fly mini is sitting pretty on my sewing room wall.
- Good Fortune quilt – Uh, yeah, STILL nothing. It’s my December project, once my November deadlines are met! I promise!
- Keep up with my BOMs – Kinda yes. I’ve got 2 months to catch up on the HST BOM by Jeni at In Color Order, and just have to piece this month’s FQS Designer Mystery BOM. But the HST BOM will be finished by the end of the year! Maybe not quilted-finished, but the top pieced for sure!
- Finish A Very Merry HST BOF – Yup, almost there! The blocks are finished, the back is pieced, and will be finished ready for the final installment!
- Write up new pattern design and make – that was Ornamental, and the pattern is done and I’ve made a few things with it already! Not to mention organising the Sew Seasonal blog hop – there’s still a few days to enter the giveaway if you haven’t already!
- Keep on top of my Wombat Stew paper piecing blocks and make my month’s wall hanging! You should see the blocks these girls have come up with!
- Make Tula Pink’s LOVE pattern – mini style! For my husband for our wedding anniversary – it was a close call, but I got it done in time!ย
Huh! I’ve actually made some really good progress!! And as long as my machine behaves (it started clunking last night – I’ll give it a good clean out later today and hopefully that fixes it!), I’m on a good track to finish most of my list!! How’s your list looking?

Lots of hustling on your end – well done! Thanks for sharing all your fun projects. Stupid question probably – what’s a pram quilt?
Happy hustling!
