I’m really happy with the binding! I tried a new method that I found through Pinterest from My Sweet Prairie. Best binding yet! Just look at that mitred corner…
I even handstitched it down on the back to make it all nice and neat. I think I might even be converting to handstitched binding when I have the time, especially on winter nights in front of the TV! Although I did mutter to my husband I should charge him extra for it…
It came together quick enough, once I’d rebought more grey after running out halfway through! But looooooon paper pieced seams certainly aren’t a favourite of mine; it finishes at 12″ x 40″. Now to wrap it as neatly and nicely as possible, and then let my husband give it to his boss while I hide in the background with the kids…

Very very cool, Alyce! And your binding looks spectacular! I do mine similarly, but use a ladder stitch to hand stitch the back – it’s virtually invisible!
Whoop whoop!!
