I’m loving that you’re loving this little series! I’ve had several emails asking for some bloggy tech assistance, one of which is today’s feature. Kara from Me And Elna asked how I got my RSS feed to have a footer with the link to my blog. This tutorial is for Blogger – if you’re on WordPress, the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin includes the ability to add content to the beginning or footer of your RSS feed.
Head into your Blogger Dashboard >> Settings >> Other >> Post Feed Footer:
In the box, type your little message. Choose which word/s you would like linked to your blog and insert the following code before and after your word:
<a href="YOUR BLOG URL" target="_blank">YOUR WORD</a>
Replace the red text with the URL for your blog homepage and voila! Don’t forget to click ‘Save Settings!’ And if you aren’t already, subscribe to your own RSS feed so that you can keep an eye on it and make sure it’s publishing properly.
If you have any questions you’d like, leave a comment or email me at contact AT blossomheartblog.com and I’ll do my best to answer!
