Today, my sister and her husband have an appointment to get the final results of the tests they ran to determine what happened. If there are any. She has sent me an email and asked me to share these personal words:
I’ve been sitting here for a few days now, trying to put into words what I want to say to you all. “Thank you” doesn’t quite seem to be enough, and I don’t really know where to start. But here it goes:
Thank you to everyone who purchased something from Alyce’s Etsy or Craftsy stores, and therefore helped her to get to Adelaide quicker. Alyce and I have always been close, so I knew her being here would help me immensely. But I think I underestimated just how much. Having her here earlier meant that we didn’t have to delay the funeral so Alyce could attend, which we were very grateful for.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for me and my husband when Alyce shared the news that Ariella was stillborn. I read every single comment, and was touched by what people said.
Thank you for supporting my sister. It’s one thing for me to read the comments and to personally feel loved and supported. But it means so much to know that my sister has bloggy friends who care about her, and could offer some words of comfort to her, especially before she arrived.
And finally, a little update. We don’t yet know what caused Ariella’s death, and we don’t know if we’ll ever get answers. And that’s ok with us. We got to spend two days in hospital with Ariella, and Marcus (hubby) and I are Christians, so we believe that we’ll see her in Heaven one day. While we will never “get over” Ariella’s death, we know that we will “get through” it and be able to live with the grief.
Thank you again,
Larissa
Extended until March 6th when we get back: A reminder that 100% of all sales from my Tea For Two pattern will be donated to my sister and her husband. It is only fitting, given the cover quilt was to be Ariella’s.

A gorgeous family photo Larissa and Marcus.
Eight yrs on since my little girl was born still and your picture brings me to tears remembering.
It’s ok, grief is normal and you will live with it peacefully.I don’t think we ever get over it we do get through it. Having faith that one day we will be reunited is what comforts me too.

Thank you everyone for your comments. If you want to stay updated on how Marcus and I are going, I’ve started a blog (that way we can let Alyce’s blog go back to being quilting centred! 😛 ): http://www.loveisdeeperstill.blogspot.com
