I have just a mild addiction to colour. It feeds my creative soul and is my happy drug, with Design Seeds my crack dealer. Today I want to share with you my latest favourite colour combination that appears to have been ahead of it’s time!
Cool, dark navy with sweet pinks and sunny yellows contrasted by the fresh, minty green. Elegant but still full of juicy colour, just waiting for your creativity to grab a bite. And don’t call them pastels, because the navy is just too edgy and cool to be slapped with that label! It works beautifully for spring and summer – cool blues and greens with pops of juicy colour that either bring sweet cherry blossoms or juicy watermelon to mind.
My love for this palette was first sparked by a sneak peek of Laurie Wisbrun’s new line – Holiday Sweet Tweets. It inspired my colour choices for my month as queen of QCA Bee #5 this month, and as the blocks begin to trickle in, I am only more excited by it!
Since that first spark, I have slowly seen more fabrics come out to play in the same colours. Leah Duncan’s first line, Tule, is the latest I’ve seen, offering a duskier version of the palette and includes pops of orange.
Koi by Rashida Coleman-Hale offers a more saturated version, and with 3 prints going to be also available in voile, I’ll be able to wear this colour combo too!

I think we need to raise the funds for me to get that entire Koi range in bolts!! My Mum made herself a gorgeous outfit for my first wedding (lol) in navy and green…..this post just reminded me of that!

I’m in complete and utter LOVE with that colour pallet – finally I may have found a colour scheme that will go with my bedroom. Oh dear, that means I’m going to have to face my demons and finally make a king size quilt – eek!
