With the Sweet Pouch Swap sign ups now closed (full in under 5 hours?! Wow, you guys WERE keen!!), it’s time to start thinking of what you might like to make! Here’s a few fabulous tutorials to help get you started:
Zippered Pouches
Zippered pouches can be made in any range of sizes and using anything for the fabric – orphan quilt blocks, embroidered fabric, etc. But here are some basic tutorials to get you started. The biggest tip to remember if you are going to use pretty zipper tabs, is to make the zipper 1/2″ smaller than your fabric so that when you are sewing the 1/4″ seam around the outside edge, you don’t sew over the zip and thus getting that crooked pinching thing happening.
