Day 5 of toilet training, and maybe, just maybe, we’ve had a breakthrough today… holding on for 90+ minutes from the start is great but only if I don’t have to prompt her all the time. Except this afternoon she seems to have clicked to the message. Anyway! I took today’s naptime to duck into my sewing room to start sewing up this polaroid bee block. I managed to salvage these 4 polaroids from a swap last year – the rest were undersized or “log cabin” style, which is a little disappointing, but my daughter had fun playing with those ones. I need to make 5 more and get some black wonk on for a 12.5″ block. And I’ve also finally got my computer working on the wi-fi so I can watch my shows on Hulu #winning
I changed my plans for my Sweet Pouch Swap pouch which means that while I’m all cut and prepped, I need to go buy the right-sized zipper… see above why I can’t get that right now. I may attempt to do our first big trip out tomorrow (other than a walk to the local shops for bread and milk), and if not, I am escaping tomorrow night when my husband gets home for some fresh air and no potty!

Tehe potty training = housebound 🙂 I just finished one and have one to go this summer coming. I love the fabrics you’ve used for the pouch. Looking forward to seeing that one finished – no pressure, lol.

I stuck my boys in swim trunks and I think the “weirdness” of it all helped them remember they weren’t in diapers. Hope you are to the point you can get out, because I love what you’re doing on the pouch!

I’ve trained 4 so far. Its always the worst when you’re in the midst, but so good when its all over!

Sewing at naptime, ae? Looks to me like you have everything under control. Great colors in that pouch!

Great Polaroid blocks. I really want to make one of these quilts. It is such a great way to highlight some great novelty blocks.

I hope you do get to escape for a bit! It’s tough work. That will be such a pretty pouch. And you are totally winning with internet/hulu connection!
