My beautiful friend Lisa at Life As We Know It is hosting a weekly linky party sharing mood boards based on the weekly theme. This week is the first, and being florals, I thought I’d join in and share a fabric mosaic of some favourite florals! The trick to mixing and matching florals is to get a range of scales – small, medium, large, as well as a couple of blenders, and of course some solids!
Are you scared of florals, or do you embrace their beauty? Joshua, you know I’m lookin’ at you…

Hahaha! I was reading this post going, I can totally relate to this! Then I read to the end and WHOOP there it is! So I’m a total floral convert now and think they definitely have their time and place. I agree with nearly all of your post but add in some geometrics in the floral colours for some variety and you’re on a modern winner!

Haha, next week’s theme is geometric!! I’ll have to throw in some geometric floral just for you ๐

Great selection of floral fabrics Alyce! Definitely not granny-like at all. Thanks for playing with me this week!

Lovely selection. I’m particularly drawn to the first three – they may just have to go on my wish list.

I’ve got a love hate relationship with florals. I used to hate them because well, you know…it reminded me of grandmas, but nowadays, you can actually make it funky and even…dare I say…a bit edgy if you mix florals with the right elements. Great picks you’ve got there too Alyce!
Kelly @ My Quilt Infatuation says
I love florals, but I tend to go more for the graphic looking florals with big blooms and bold colors- a lot like the ones you have picked. They look great!

Gorgeous selection Alyce! For me, Amy Butler is my go-to designer for modern florals, and I am really liking the Nordika range at the moment!

I love florals and am glad to see some beautiful ones. I was beginning to think that florals were going out of style.

I think that florals can be very modern – it mainly depends on the designer and the colours they use – love your selection!

Oh I’m in love with that mustard colored floral.
As a general rule I’m not a floral lover but the ones you’ve put together look great.

I have never been a massive fan of florals, but there are some super pretty fabrics coming out that might just change my mind!!
