This week’s theme is black and white, and I thought we’d do something a little different and look at some Craftsy* patterns that would work well in black and white prints and solids only! The key is looking for patterns that provide a good contrast between the background and the prints like these do:
Sparkler Quilt by Freshly Pieced – Zebra | Illustrated Rings | Laughing Stripes | Chevron | Houndstooth
Tea For Two by Blossom Heart Quilts – Moroccan Lattice | Little Elephants | Black Joking Around | Hipster Pop
Modern Drunkards Path by Soto Sewn – Tweedle Dee | Swirl in Black | Hypnotized | The Bash
Spiral Geese Mini Quilt by Better Off Thread – Asterisks | News Chalk | Leaves in Line | Fancy Fun | Commas Black Chalk

They look awesome. I’m thinking I need to add some more patterns in my home.

I’ve never quilted…but I love the spiral geese one 🙂

J’adore the spiral geese, as it reminds me of a Maori koru (spiral shape based on an unfurling silver fern frond and representative of new life and growth). Or, indeed, a spiral wild goose chase!

Loving your mood board this week Alyce. Really clever to match the fabrics to a quilt pattern. Sometimes it’s hard to see the quilts in any other colour way, so it’s fab to see an alternative. Thanks for linking up this week! Cheers, Lis.
