I have a few patterns in the works, at varying levels of production, and to get each to the finished stage, I need some willing pattern testers!
Use this Google form to sign up with your info, and to choose what kinds of patterns your interested in. I’ve also included a list of points that you will need to agree to (like a contract) so that all expectations are clear from the start. If you’re happy to:
- Keep the pattern and details confidential (sneak peeks allowed!) until the pattern is published on my blog;
- Be a volunteer pattern tester and receive a free, final copy of the pattern once it’s published;
- Not redistribute or publish the pattern in any manner or format;
- Finish the pattern testing with the alloted time or let me know ASAP if you can’t; and,
- Send honest, useful feedback and 1 or 2 clear, well-lit photos to me (and maybe even have the photos published here on my blog)
Then I want you! First off the testing ranks is the Fairy Tale Castle, with more on the way as time allows this year.
How it will work is that when I have a pattern ready to be tested, I will email everyone on the appropriate list with the full draft pattern. That way you can check out what is involved, and those interested just need to reply and let me know they’re on board to test the pattern. You then make the pattern before the deadline and make notes as you go, and email me ANY tips or corrections you have, as well as 1 or 2 clear, well-lit photos so I can see you finished products. If you agree, I will then use these photos when I publish the pattern on the blog to share how you interpreted it!
A quick note for quilt pattern testing – I always make sure to provide at least 2 different finished size options, plus I only expect the quilt top to be finished within the time allocated, so don’t get freaked out at the idea of having to completely finish a king-sized quilt!
UPDATE: I have more than enough pattern testers for the time being, thank you so much for all your interest! When

I’m interested in testing, but currently have less stitching time than I’d like. Typically what kind of turn around times would you expect?

Eu adoraria testar seus padrões, acho que seria uma grande e emocionante experiência. Meu receio é em relação ao inglês, mas já tenho alguma experiência com tutoriais em ingles e acrfedito que eu vá conseguir.

Good afternoon blossom heart quilts,
I would love to try my hand in being a pattern tester. I think it would be a great way for myself to build my quilting skills.

Hi Samantha, you’ve managed to find a 9 year old post. I no longer need pattern testers.
