Last week I saw a new hashtag on Instagram: #quiltforaneela. Aneela recently shared that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is having surgery, so quilters are doing what quilters do best – to wrap her with some quilty love while she focuses on her health! Chelsea from Pins and Bobbins is collecting XO blocks made from Aneela Hoey’s fabrics so as to make a quilt for Aneela! These are my contributions – both using fabric from Little Apples. I had such fun fussy cutting for the red block! That print is just perfect for 5″ square fussy cutting! The grey print I have a lot of to use for bindings, and I liked the way it wrapped around the O. I’ll be popping these in the mail today to Chelsea and I cannot wait to see the final quilt! For more information, go check out Chelsea’s post.

Thanks so much for posting about Aneela. I have wondered what happened to her. I love her fabric and made a couple blocks to send today.
