This is probably my most favourite quilt to date. I love my original Bright Sky quilt, but there’s something about making this one completely myself from design all the way through to binding, especially the quilting. I will have to share another whole post about all the quilting, because I am so proud of that journey, but for now, I will just share the pretty photos.
A big thank you to my husband for crouching and bending and hiding behind the quilt and still managing to hold it up – it’s not light!!
We cycled all around the neighbourhood and beyond trying to find beautiful autumn trees with space to hold the quilt and found the perfect park with beautiful trees, lighting and places to display the quilt. This photo above is one of my favourites – I love how the three sets of bars echoes the stars-in-stars-in-stars of my Bright Sky quilt. Which I have named Eternity. I was going to go with Infinity, but Eternity more accurately represents the emotional stories behind this quilt.
In this photo you can see a lot of the quilting detail, with the bands of straight line and pebbling rippling out from the centre. The texture of this quilt is just addictive – I can’t stop stroking it!
Voting has now opened for the Viewers’ Choice quilt in the Bright Sky quilt linky! Go vote for your favourite quilt.

Is it called eternity because that’s how long you thought it would take to quilt it? ๐ It looks fabulous!
