My daughter is quite, um, opinionated in what she likes and does not like. Once she’s decided she doesn’t like something, even for something little and actually quite nice/yummy, it’s very hard to convince her otherwise! At the start of winter I gave her the Charm Pack Cherry quilt to use on her bed, but because that first night she got cold from not enough layers, and because it wasn’t fluffy like the sofa blanket downstairs, she decided quite firmly that the quilt was cold and she didn’t like it one bit.
But last week, I needed some sewing therapy and quickly whipped up this scarf using scrap fabric from the Bright Sky quilt backing (a brushed cotton) and some Dreamin Vintage yardage. And she loves it! She keeps thanking me for it, and also using it as a pillow, or a waist tie, or a skipping rope, or a head scarf… Yay!
You can find the super easy tutorial for this scarf and 2 other quilted scarf tutorials over on my latest Craftsy blog post!
