It only took me 6 weeks to finally finish quilting a 24″ square mini, but hey, I got it done! Between QuiltCon and the returning to 4 weeks and counting of my husband and I taking turns to be sick (literally, the day I flew back he had come down with a temperature), and other life events like end of the school year and deadlines… Anyone else find the irony in the fact that “life happened” and delayed my finishing of the Circle Of Life mini?! But finish it I did!
Several hours of straight line quilting, roughly 1/8″ apart, filling in the background. I wasn’t worried about being perfectly spaced or straight partly because I knew it just simply wasn’t going to happen, and partly because life isn’t perfect, right?! I contemplated making the binding match the 4 quadrants’ backgrounds, but decided to go for another Oakshott fabric instead – a nice neutral to tie it all together.

What a pretty modern mini! I like your quilting!
It’s only appropriate that your Circle of Life mini has been created during your real life “sewing productive” and your “no sewing” time!

such a pretty mini. Sorry that sickness hit you so hard – has been the same here recently. It really scuppers the sewing plans!
