This quilt was one that I finished JUST after the last festival – just too late to enter it then! And then I nearly forgot to enter it this time around, but thankfully there’s still a couple of days left to enter before voting opens! I used a fat eighth bundle of Sunnyside by Kate Spain to make this quilt for my sun, using the Fat Eighth Frenzy pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop.
I alternated the prints and the saturation levels to create a rainbow effect before going a little nuts with some coordinating Aurifil threads to quilt each diagonal strip of colour in a different design. It was well-loved and used over winter!
This quilt is entered in the ROYGBIV section of the Blogger’s Quilt Festival, and you can vote for it (because obviously it’s your favourite!) from May 22-29!

I really like the staggered layout of your quilt. It’s a great design for larger scale prints.

Yeah, it really is! Not so much clashing or fighting for attention happening, and the diagonal seams within each column helps too.
