As this year marches on, and more and more quilts from The Bee Hive are being finished up, I am continually just blown away by the creativity. But most importantly, by the amazing love and support the Swarms (aka The Bee Hive quilting bees) are showing towards each other. Last week, I was tagged on Instagram by @annettezee, sharing the story behind her finished quilt from her month as queen bee. She asked for Autumn Chain blocks in lime and purple, but that’s not what rocked up at her house… As I read her blog post about the quilt and it’s back story, I got goose bumps and started to cry.
The overwhelming love and support from her swarm! I just… there’s no words. I truly am speechless! Go read her post, because you’ll know why there are just no words.
The only thing I can think to say is to thank you, beautiful Swarms. Thank you for your time and effort and love, both for each other and for The Bee Hive! It has been such an incredible honour to see you guys sewing these blocks and quilts (and more! so many special gifts!), and making The Bee Hive just blossom. Pun totally intended 😉 Seriously, thank you.

Thank you for organizing these swarms! Without all the work you guys put into this, we would never have met each other. Our swarm continuously talks about how thrilled we are to be in this hive together.

I have had sew much fun this year getting to know my hive-mates and learning new sewing and non sewing things along the way! BEE-ing part of something like this is going to be part of me forever!!!
