For this month’s BHQ By You, I wanted to do something a little different. So many of you took my encouragement to interpret last week’s Intersection block tutorial, resulting in some fantastic blocks. As someone for who a core quilting philosophy is “make it your own”, it just made me so proud to see you guys do just that! So I wanted to focus on Intersection blocks this week, and how people have made it their own.
From the Blossom Heart Quilts Facebook group, we have some four-coloured versions:
Top to bottom: Susan, Sophie, Mamie
Then we have some alternative fabric placement that changes up the look of the block a bit:
T-B: Anna, Joanne, Liz
And then some really alternative fabric placement that makes Intersection look like a star! That’s a bit neat!
T-B: Lindy, Cindy, Deborah
And finally, Kim emailed me earlier this month to share a finished quilt that she made for a co-worker who started chemo this month. She used what Modern HST Sampler blocks she had made so far, and threw in a couple of other designs too.
I’ve also reposting some of the gorgeous projects being shared on Instagram, because they’re just so inspirational I have to share them with you all! So if you’re on Instagram, be sure to share your projects made from my tutorials or patterns and tag me – @blossomheartquilts – and use the hashtag #blossomheartquilts.

Oh, lovely blocks! I’m one of the 4-color people, simply because I loved that way, but other blocks may wind up getting added, too.
