In the middle of getting ready to move states, I quickly asked two Melbourne quilty buddies if they were able to whip up a Garland mini quilt to help pattern test. Jane and Erin did not disappoint! Erin aka @quiltbystarlight used some of her hoarded Tinsel by Cotton + Steel to make a super happy Garland.
She finished it off with some intense pebbling – it can get a bit addictive when you’re in pebbling mode! And some gentle weaving through the half-square triangles, like intertwined leaves on a wreath.
Jane aka @behind_lilpipdesigns went for the non-Christmas approach blew my mind with her mini mini – she made the 6″ finished block and just look at it! So tiny, so rainbow, so adorable!
She went a step further and added some sweet little hand-embroidered detailing sprinkled around the wreath, which is a great alternative to adding berries or holly (or pinecones, or presents, or…)
