Hello, my name is Alyce, and I’m a Liberty addict. It’s been 14 days since my last purchase.
Guys, I have a serious problem. Since I decided to use Liberty to start my EPP journey afresh, I’ve gotten hooked. And OF COURSE it’s all happened once I’ve left Japan where I could easily and (relatively) cheaply access Liberty fabrics, sob! So, I decided last month to treat myself a little and sign up for the Love Liberty Club from Robyn at The Strawberry Thief. And I have not been disappointed, with such beautiful little pieces of soft and supple lovelies showing up in my letter box!
I then quickly fell sucker to bundles of Liberty remnants at GJ’s at the guild’s Sit and Sew Day a couple of weeks ago and grabbed a roll (along with those fabrics for my Tula Blue quilt).
I guess my new weakness is because using small pieces of fabric in lovely ways are now possible with English Paper Piecing. So now I can understand why people buy such little pieces. Oh, and for the record? I’m a sucker for any of the florals. The more novelty type prints? Not as much.

I know what you mean about novelty prints … but I do like the teapots in Alice in Wonderland Liberty prints

I love Liberty too and am always on the look out for bargains. I have just finished doing all the EPP hexagons for a quilt and they are all made from Liberty, I now need topstitch them together to make it up. It will be beautiful but a very expensive quilt when i think about how much I spent on it. x
Alyce says
Shhhh, let’s not talk about the cost of Liberty!!

Dearest Alyce! Since your last post, I have done nothing but study you tube videos on EPP, bookmark EPP products, and ponder on the perfect starting project! I have also been eyeing Liberty fabrics! You have created a monster!!! Seriously, this is a whole new world and a great thing to do when I can’t be at my sewing machine!!! Thank you and I look forward to seeing your progress in future posts!!

Always, yep.

*carefully hides all the pretty floral Liberty prints she picked up at the FoQ* ;D They are just so lovely, though! I’m currently wrestling some EPP with silk, but I think I’ll do some with Liberty next.
Alyce says
Haha!! *shady jealous eyes and grabby hands*

So you buy Liberty club from Robyn, who is not far from me, and I buy from Amitie, which is not far from you. I prefer Robyn’s floral range, but the Amitie club is small and only sent out quarterly, so I feel less guilty about it.
GJ’s does scrap Liberty bundles?! I am definitely on the train to Fairfield on my next Melbourne visit!

Bahahaha! That’s kinda funny!
