Whoop whoop! The Tula Pink City Sampler quilt along is on the downhill ride to that number 100 block. Today’s block is day 58, but it’s more satisfying to share the first 50 blocks (and easier to collage, ha!), such a nice round number! So you’ll have to pop across to Instagram – @blossomheartquilts – to see the past week’s blocks. In the meantime, check them out!! Clicken to embiggen the pic if you like.
I’m so thrilled with how it’s all coming together. It’s about time to do another spread out of blocks to check on the balance of colour happening, but it’s something I refuse to get too worried about. I’m more concentrating on making each block fun and inserting as many littler personal touches as possible. Like the fussy cut pieces of Tokyo map, or managing to squeeze in some selvedge! And adding some Australian place names fabric by Ella Blue. And grids and math fabric…
I’m loving my #tulabluequilt sick!

Oh my gosh Alyce, that collage is fabulous! I’m hoping to start Tula’s City Sampler after the first of the year.

Thanks Jinger! It’s so motivating to see them all together!

This wasn’t one I chose to do, but I do like the way yours is coming along. Maybe it’s the blue to neutral look of it. Very appealing against that background fabric, too.

(that’s actually a newspaper, but I’m trying to convince my husband to make up some kanji so I could print some for my background fabric…)

It ‘s turn great! I will begin mine soon!
