This month, I’m the guest designer for a fun project – the International Association of Quilters! And for my month, I’m (finally) sharing the pattern for my Rapt quilt. No, not “raptor” as I kept accidentally typing, although using dinosaur fabric for this would be super fun…
This quilt was in part inspired by Laurie Wisbrun’s beautiful fabrics, but also my desire to finally make a Christmas quilt because in Japan, we could actually use them in December! Mind you, Melbourne’s idea of summer lends itself to using quilts too…
Anyway, it’s a great program if you’re interested in getting a great range of patterns and resources all year-long! Not only do you get a free pattern each month from these incredible designers this year:
January | Jennifer Fulton | inquiringquilter.com |
February | Leila Gardunia | http://sewnbyleila.blogspot.com/ |
March | Alyce Blyth | http://blossomheartquilts.com/ |
April | Jodi Godfrey | http://www.talesofcloth.com/ |
May | Debbie | http://www.wendtquilting.com/ |
June | Kate Colleran | http://seamslikeadream.com/ |
July | Emily | auntemsquilts.com |
August | Stacey Lee O’Malley | http://slostudio.ca/ |
September | Yvonne Fuchs | http://quiltingjetgirl.com/ |
October | Pauline | http://www.funkyfriendsfactory.com/ |
November | Cheryl Brickey | http://www.meadowmistdesigns.blogspot.com/ |
December | Brittany | http://stitchesoflovequilting.com/ |
But you also get access to the previous years’ monthly patterns, a members-only forum, swaps, challenges and more! It is such good value for money.
If you make a Rapt quilt, be sure to share it with me! You can share it in my Facebook group, or on Instagram using #raptquilt and tag me too – I’m @blossomheartquilts.

Nice quilt, would be great for Christmas or anyone who loves presents. 🙂
I hope you’re enjoying being guest designer at the IAQ. I was guest designer in June or July last year and found the group to be very friendly. 🙂
