When school holidays and life happens, you combine two months of BHQ By You into one post! But that just means double the eye candy of amazing projects made by you guys using Blossom Heart Quilts patterns and tutorials. So sit back and get ready to drool at the pretties…
#milkywaysampler
Milky Way Sampler block 6 for June was Capella, and check these out:
Clockwise top left: @midwesternbite, @homesewnheroes, @bjmaxwell55, @katgraycraft
July’s Milky Way Sampler block was Rigel, and here’s some of the gorgeous blocks people have been making:
Clockwise top left: @unicornharts, @karenoheck, @craftyquilter, @emily_langton
And then there’s all the pictures of the finished blocks and quilts made from the Milky Way Sampler pattern bundle (all 12 blocks + bonus 13th). The Dallas Modern Quilt Guild have been sewing along with the pattern, and the president @diddersworld has finished all her blocks, which she’s made in Tula Pink fabrics. Check out that fussy cutting!
And then there’s this Alison Glass beauty by @gardenvariety_ all finished. That background is fantastic!
And another glorious Alison Glass rainbow! This one is by @quiltingwithyou.
#AuroraBOM
Did you know it’s never too late to sign up for the Aurora BOM program? Upon purchase, you can download all the patterns released to date, and then you’re on the list to receive the next installments via email on the first of each month. This block from the pattern is by @joeygirl_
#TheBeeHiveQuilts
This feed is such a cheery, eclectic mix of blocks! With all the different quilting bees using the free quilt blocks from The Bee Hive quilt block series, there is a big range of fabrics, colours, and designs being used. Like this one by @alysj from her group using the Treasure Hunt quilt block.
Or these colourful Ripple quilt blocks by @curlyquesue for her bee mate.
#ModernHSTsampler
It’s been exciting to see some of the quilts from the Modern HST Sampler keep progressing and getting finished! Yes, eagle eyes will note that mine has not been quilted yet, but that stage of quilts is always rather slow for me… Anyway, let’s start this section with this glorious Tula Pink version by @jessicaquilter!
And this top by @notqnot is just lovely.
I love seeing quilting progress – @janetjacks11 is custom free motion quilting each of her 24 blocks!
#BlossomHeartQuilts
For my month as queen of Molli Sparkles’ Honey Pot Bee, I chose economy blocks, and shared the pattern for 4″ finished blocks in my economy block tutorial. Pst – if you want a variety of other sizes of finished economy blocks, you can sign up for my newsletter to get the patterns for free! It was so awesome to see a variety of them pop up on Instagram! Some had some amazing fussy cutting, and others were just simply beautiful as-is.

I’ve also seen some gorgeous kimono quilt blocks from my Kimono quilt block pattern floating around due to a mini quilt swap recently. This one by @tomo.haru.nana is just divine!
And it always makes me smile to see one of my older tutorials, a foundation paper pieced feather pattern, pop up every now and then. This one was made by @barkinghen.
A bit of a different share to end this post… Every now and then I get emails asking if I have a pattern for the Totoro quilt I made for my nephew. I don’t, so I simply reply letting them know that they’re more than welcome to just directly copy it. And Janelle did just that for her son’s quilt! She made a few changes and it’s just so damn awesome.
The back with the soot sprites is just adorable, and the perfect way to finish this quilt!
Thanks to everyone who shares their work and progress on Instagram! I really love seeing what you’ve made, and it brightens my day up. You can use all the specific hashtags for your projects, and also use #blossomheartquilts.

What a great range of projects!

It’s always so hard to choose just a handful! Although, making sure I choose a variety helps instead of keeping on going back to my favourite colours, haha.

Hey thanks for posting my block 🙂 @karenoheck

Thank YOU for sharing!
