Every month, I receive beautiful bundles of Liberty from Ava & Neve, and lately, they’ve taken a gorgeous turn for the better. Each bundle is now beautifully curated to create a mini kit of sorts! They’re fresh, modern, stunning… Nothing granny about these Liberty Society bundles!
Last month was this rich, moody bundle of navy, mustard and teal. This month, we’re celebrating spring with pink, yellow, and green, with a touch of blue.
I couldn’t resist jumping right into September’s bundle, whipping up a couple of quilt blocks. I had thought to combine them all into one, but the Susanna print was just begging to be with the blue and bright pink on its own 😉
Which meant that I had to make a second quilt block, this time using the rest of the fabrics! Both blocks finish at 14″ square, so I may add another couple of strips around each side to bump it up to 18″ to turn them into cushions… we shall see.
Originally I was thinking of making them as granny squares, but as you can see, they’re not on point. Sooo I guess these are also “not your granny’s”, haha!
Ava & Neve are sponsoring the Geode QAL so be sure to go send them some love – they’re on Instagram as @ava_and_neve and on Facebook too.
