I’d say that “eagle eyes may have noticed that I haven’t shared any update on my Milky Way Sampler quilt”… but clearly I place way too much faith in how closely you keep up to date on what I’m working on, haha! That or the guilt is weighing heavily… That’s more likely, actually.
The truth of the matter is that March and April have been kicking my butt, as will May and June to be frank, with deadlines and school holidays and public holidays and pupil free days from school (today… ahead of Anzac Day tomorrow… REALLY, school?!). Thankfully, I had always said to myself that I wanted to finish 12 WIPs and UFOs this year, regardless of when that happened. Yes, one per month sounded nice, but hey, when life and work happens, #finishitalyce isn’t a high priority.
And that’s ok.
So, since setting the goal of getting my Milky Way Sampler quilt all finished in March, what really ended up happening was it got quilted in March.
Progress is progress! The binding has also now been cut. As to when that will be stitched on? Yet to be determined…
Big thanks also to my quilty BFF Jane who visited me via her local quilting shop to pick up some Aurifil 2745! It turned out that I did not have any true, dark navy thread for my navy star, and even though I only needed to sew about 8 lines, it was important it was in the right thread colour. Obviously.

So enjoy your blog. I have my Milky Way pattern in a holding pattern but do love it. Yours is fabulous.

Your year sounds like my year: busy!
Quilted and almost bound is almost finished in my book!

Oh for sure, “almost finished”! But that’s still not FINISHED finished, LOL! Ah well, it’ll get there! There’s a few that are at “just need to bind” stage, so I could easily get a few of those ticked off in one month later on.
