Well, what a way to get back into work after moving house than to announce that I am an Aurifil Designer of the Month for 2019!
I have had a long-standing love affair for Aurifil thread, which became official when I was an inaugural Aurifil Artisan in 2016, and again this year. And now I’m branching out in joining the DOM team for 2019. Each year, Aurifil hosts a quilt along with a block a month from different guest designers. The quilt along is centred around a theme each year, and in 2019 it’s all about Traditions.
For the Traditions blocks, us designers will be making our blocks in red and white, with perhaps a splash of an accent colour, but you can of course sew along in whatever colours you like. And each month, you can enter your sewn-up block to win a box of Aurifil thread! To find out more, check out the post up today on Auribuzz (the Aurifil blog).
As for who else is designing blocks next year…

I’m excited to see what everyone else has come up with for the theme of Traditions! I’ve got a few months to fully commit to a design, but I do have a few ideas of what I could do.
