Baby Sunset doo doo doo do doo… #sorrynotsorry for that ear worm! Anyway, moving on, Baby Sunset is my newest quilt pattern coming out on July 1st.
It’s a bonus pattern exclusively available to the Sunset Isle BOM subscribers, and uses the blocks from the first six months of the pattern. You see, the rows for months 6 and 7 of Sunset Isle are the same pattern, so we decided to spoil our subscribers with a little extra!
And it also helps use up any test blocks, or you’ve run out of steam, it uses the blocks you’ve already made *wink wink* But this quilt wasn’t without its moments… I had to adapt as I sewed. You see, I made a rookie error in my original plan. The flying geese units are not the same size as the triangle in a square blocks!
Further playing in EQ8 and I came up with Plan B, however, once I had put this up on my design wall, there was just too much negative space happening in such a little quilt.
And so Plan C was born – a more condensed, balanced version. Much better!
Pst – Don’t forget, use the code EQ8ALYCE to get 20% off of any order at ElectricQuilt.com
The pattern for Baby Sunset is only available to current Sunset Isle subscribers and is heading to their inboxes on July 1st, so if you’d love to get your hands on it, you can still subscribe now and get in on time! PLUS you’ll get the full Sunset Isle quilt pattern too – two patterns for the price of one. Score!

A sweet quilt. I like the arrows of different sizes at the sides.
