There’s only several more days to wait until my book, Mini Masterpieces, is released, but today is the day that the book blog hop begins! It’s the 12 Days of Mini Masterpieces… because for the next twelve days, I have 24 amazing quilters sharing their makes from Mini Masterpieces.
Mini Masterpieces features 12 essential quilting techniques, with a sampler block and a mini quilt for each. For the blog hop, I asked my friends to make the sampler block. Many have also gone on to turn the block into a finished project, so that’s been fun to see how they turn the one sampler block into something else! And seeing sneak peeks on Instagram…
This is definitely another of those “Pinch me!” moments in my journey as an author. I’ve been on many book blog hops for friends before, but for me to be asking friends to make projects from and to help share my book?! It’s a little surreal! But I’m so thankful for the generous love and support they’ve each shown me in joining in this blog hop.
So here’s the line up that you are going to want to be following!

And trust me when I say that you’ll want to carefully follow along the way, because every single person has two spools from my Mini Masterpieces Aurifil thread collection to give away. Yep, that’s right, it’s ALL THINGS Mini Masterpieces.
I will be sharing each person’s makes here and on Instagram, to make it easier for you to follow along with what’s happening. I will also be sharing all the details about the Mini Masterpieces QAL that’s happening in 2020. Plus oh yes, these fantastic amazing quilters are back in 2020 when they’ll be making the mini quilts in the relevant month! Some can’t even wait that long…
Nor could they restrict it to a mini, ha! It’s something I do encourage in the book, that if you are really just that inspired and motivated, keep making more blocks! But there is absolutely no pressure to do so. My whole belief behind Mini Masterpieces is that creating and making for the sake of creativity is absolutely valid, and especially so when you’re trying something new – making “only” a mini quilt is a great way to experiment free from the pressure of creating a large quilt. Put those new skills to work with an achievable size of project! But ain’t nobody put Elisabeth in a corner, so big she has gone for her sister’s wedding quilt with Ghastlies fabric.
So yes, it’s going to be such a fun couple of weeks, with pretty projects, great giveaways, and interesting info about getting ready creatively for 2020 #awesomealliteration
And of course, don’t forget to preorder my book! Preorders really help with the success of book releases, and especially on Amazon (and then don’t forget to leave a review once you get it!). If a signed copy is more your jam, you can click here to preorder a signed copy, otherwise here’s where else you can preorder my book around the interwebz.

Me too, ha! 😉

So far, your book looks fun. Out of 4 hoppers. I was only able to access 2. These fancy websites aren’t always user friendly…..at least not for the older generation who are barely hanging in there tech-wise!
Alyce says
Thanks Kaholly! I think it’s fun too 😉 Not everyone has posted on their blogs – some have only posted on Instagram.

This is just the book I need, something that is a great reference for all the basics. I am especially looking forward to the EPP posts as it is my favourite thing to do. x
Alyce says
Thanks, Kay! A good book of basics was my aim 🙂

This year my theme was making minis. I have a wall in my sewing room that is filling up with my smaller creations. 🙂 I look forward to your book to learn some new skills and practice ones I already know and love. I have recently tried EPP and have fallen in love with Grandmother’s Flower Garden blocks. Thanks for a fun Book Hop!

Thank you so much, Nancy!
