Backsplash Quilt – The Pattern Testers

Every time I design a quilt pattern, I get so excited to see the quilts that my amazing testers make! These wonderful ladies each make a quilt top to help troubleshoot any hiccups or niggles in the quilt pattern before it gets put out into the world. And the quilts the made for the Backsplash quilt pattern are no exception to their amazingness!

Baby Backsplash Quilts

The baby Backsplash quilt is a neat 45″ x 45″ – a perfect play mat size, and then becomes a toddler quilt once they’ve grown up a bit!

Janet made two different baby Backsplash quilts! Very sweet quilts.

Jen made this beautiful version with a fun print for the background! Such a great idea.

Simone used denim and Karen Lewis fabrics to make this modern baby quilt.

Throw Backsplash Quilts

The throw size of the Backsplash quilt pattern is a cozy 61″ x 61″. The perfect lap size.

Josephine made this beautiful throw quilt and I love the straight line quilting that emphasises the square blocks.

Gail made this fun version in bright spots! Very effective.

Bed Backsplash Quilts

The bed Backsplash quilt is 81″ x 81″. For reference, that’s a little bit bigger than a queen-sized doona.

Tobie made this beautiful, muted-toned bed quilt.

Kathleen did a fantastic version by swapping a print in for the background, and using mostly solids for the tiles. So beautiful!

Olivia made this earthy-toned version, using one leafy print for the crosses in the tile, and coordinating solids for the outside parts. Love this interpretation!

And last but certainly not least, Cherry made this fun version of the Backsplash pattern, which she then helpfully modelled on her bed.
