The Backsplash Quilt Along

There was such a fantastic community response to the Happy Scrappy QAL, that I just knew we had to have another one ASAP, and this time, we’re using my brand new pattern, Backsplash.

This is a very special pattern to me, having kept me somewhat sane in the first two months of quaran-down-solation by giving me something to focus on while navigating the parenting and schooling changes thrown my way. And I’m so excited to be sewing another one alongside you! The quilt along starts on Monday, June 1 and continues on through Sunday, July 5th. Here’s the schedule:

Week 1 – Fabric Cutting
Week 2 – Blocks A + C
Week 3 – Block B
Week 4 – Block D
Week 5 – Quilt Tops

This time, the quilt along will be run via weekly emails. So you will need to sign up here to receive the weekly QAL emails to make sure you don’t miss out on the QAL tips and news and such. I will be posting my own little updates and such along the way on Instagram and in the Blossom Heart Quilts group on Facebook, but it’s those emails that contain all the important news.

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll immediately receive a welcome email – be sure to check your spam folder, or promotions tab if you use Gmail, if you can’t find it, and then be sure to add it as a safe/wanted email/add my email address as a contact so that all the QAL emails will go straight to your inbox.

The emails will go out each Monday, outlining the task to do that week, and any tips or tricks to make the sewing that week nice and smooth. So be sure to add this email address to your contacts so that your inbox safely delivers each week’s email! Please note that I am in Australia, so all dates that I refer to are in my timezone – if you’re in the USA, you’ll actually be getting those emails on your Sunday.

To join in the community side of things, the main action will be happening over on Instagram. To join in the community there, use #BacksplashQAL to connect with other Backsplash quilt along-ers. You can also add #blossomheartquilts to help people know that it’s one of my patterns.
