Another month and another row added to our Sunset Isle quilts and another check in on Instagram on #sunsetislequilt!
MONTH 11
I love the look of row 11, but I’m not gonna lie – I was very grateful to use my AccuQuilt 8″ Qube dies to help me make the blocks for this row. And while I’m being honest, I used to be worried about how Liberty would go in an AccuQuilt. I mean, I know that the dies can cut a huge range of fabrics, including denim, interfaced fabric for applique, felt and of course regular quilting cotton, but fine, luscious Liberty lawn? Would it slip?! Pft, nope, alll good!
Having the parallelograms and half-square triangles all cut and ready to sew made it such a breeze to whip through these over an episode of Glee! Just sew and press, no trimming required. And soon enough, I had my row of purple parallelograms perfectly(ish) pieced 😉
