I’ve used a few different ranges – Coquette, Nature Elements, Oval Elements, and Bohemian Soul. I am so in love Art Gallery Fabrics! It’s so soft to the touch, and so smooth to quilt – noticeably reduces the drag. And so snuggly! I simply straight line quilted around each pair of Ts to keep it light for my potential niece – it’s for my sister, who is due in a few weeks and doesn’t know what she’s having. If they have a girl, they get it. If they have a boy, well, this goes in the cupboard for the next girl baby in the family.
For the back, I pieced a large T from Nature Elements in Cyclamen and Endless Dream in 2 colorways from Bohemian Soul. Very bold, but I’m learning to step outside my safe little box!
This is the second quilt I’ve hand bound, and yep, I’m a convert. There, you happy?! Nothing like snuggling under it at night. I was tossing up between 2 Oval Elements – this light pink and a darker pink. I decided this time to go for a softer colour.
It’ll be hard to let go of this pretty little thing, but I know it will be well loved by whatever niece ends up with it. And I’ll just have to make an AGF quilt for me!

When I visited Japan, I took a photo of one of the manhole covers because it was THAT pretty. I think it’s the only manhole cover I’ve ever photographed. Ah! Japan. I love you so.

Lovely quilt. I’m thinking you need to design patterns if your brain can figure out those geometrics so well!

It reminds me of a lovely soft pastel tetris game, and that’s a really good thing!

It’s lovely Alyce! I have sewn with Art Gallery Fabrics before – must try them (when I have used up some fabric in my stash!).

The quilt is lovely. I’m sure your sister, or whomever receives it, will love it. I would like to see a picture of the manhole cover that your inspiration came from. I’ve recently been converted to machine binding! I learnt how to hand bind, and then last year discovered how to machine bind, which I do for everything now because I just don’t have time to hand bind.
