Shock horror, right?! But when my husband booked the hotel, he didn’t know that he had chosen one right opposite a craft store! And it was my birthday on Monday, so we had to go look. But what might actually shock you is what I bought. Or rather, what I didn’t. I was incredibly restrained. I looked, I fondled bolts of fabric, I picked up precuts… Except that when my husband asked if there was anything I wanted and I answered, “DUH!”, he replied with: “Well, is there anything you’ve seen that you can’t get back home?”
Hmph. When He Of The Cash asks such a logical and rational question, how can you get out of that?! Thankfully there was at least something that I hadn’t seen back home – a pretty little cotton/linen blend in blue that coordinates with a pink washi tape and lace fabric I’ve bought before.

This half metre cut has found a happy home in my stash! Along with her pretty pink cousin, I foresee a lined zippered pouch for my handbag to corral little bits and pieces. I just, you know, have to do it! Maybe today…
