There’s not too much to show from my sewing this week, as it’s been quilting for a blog hop project coming out later this month. But here’s a little sneak peek for you!
Janet has finished her first mini quilt swap, with this gorgeous Cotton + Steel mini quilt!
There seems to be a current trend of finishing gorgeous plus/cross quilts lately! And Ali’s is no exception, using Paradiso by Kate Spain. I absolutely adore the varied greys she used for the background!
Lea Anne did some quilty therapy and came up with this gorgeous quilt block design. I’m very sorry for the reason behind this sewing, Lea Anne, but thank you for still sharing this (and the measurements!) with us xx
Ok guys, time to link up one of your posts from this week! It could be a finished quilt, or your latest quilting bee blocks, or a cushion, or anything else quilty related. PLUS! You can also link up one bonus extra post from your archives for the first linky of the month’s special theme, which today is: TRAVEL. Maybe you have a great tutorial for making a handy little pouch or bag for using while travelling, or you’ve made an adorable hand-sewing kit…
And did you know you can link directly to an Instagram pic too?! So if you want to link from there, you can do that too – link up as normal, and use #sewcutetuesday and @blossomheartquilts on IG to help us find you from there too.

Hi Alyce! Thanks for the linky party. This is my first time linking up and I got a 2 for 1, how awesome is that!

Hi Alyce – my link this week is for a baby quilt. A few months ago, our elderly neighbor passed away after a long battle with cancer. She, too, was a quilter, and her family left me some of her supplies. In there was a bag of soft fabric – some squares were attached. It was a gift to complete this for her great grandson.

That hand sewing travel kit is adorable. I especially like the idea of using the measuring tape fabric as binding — especially if it’s accurate! How handy would that be, to have a built-in tape measure along the edges of my sewing case?
