I want to take a moment first to thank you all for getting involved in My DIY Block Design over the past month. My passion is teaching, with DIY Block Design being the biggest, scariest method of teaching I’ve done yet! But then seeing my teaching come to life through you all has thrilled me to no end. To be able to celebrate with each of you as you design and make your own quilt blocks, to see your designs come to life… My little teacher heart is just so full and happy! To throw a cliche out there, you are all winners because look at what you’ve done! YOU did it! And you’ve got the physical product to show for it.
Now what? Do not stop. Keep going! Keep taking photos of inspirational designs out and about in your daily life. Keep designing, keep sketching. Sketching out designs, even if they never come to life, is such a valuable creative practice! And you will be better for it as a creative. Keep making! And of course, keep sharing all these stages on Instagram using #myDIYblockdesign. That hashtag is for you to use and share the making of your own designs, so we can celebrate together.
Alright, mushy moment over, thanks for letting me take a moment to share that. Let’s get to the winners!

Oh, thanks so much Alyce! It was so fun and I’ve already used your book a fair few times over the past month and it’s pushed me to start actually designing (and making) my own blocks and patterns instead of just thinking about them.

Thank you Alyce. This has been another wonderful series from you – I have learnt so much and grown in confidence in my design skills (as has my son!). He is super excited about choosing his prize – so big thank you to your sponsors too 🙂
