This week, I’ve been trying to make a couple more farewell gifts. I also sewed up a block for the Kona Colour of the Year challenge. I picked up some Highlight at QuiltCon, so I decided to give it a go. After having tried my first real improv block last month, I took a deep breath and tried it again. I was reminded of how in university, I didn’t like the yellow highlighter (pink, green and blue for me!). And how I tried for even, straight strokes of the highlighter but of course, it was usually a bit wonky, and uneven saturation of ink on the page. So this block was born from that inspiration. A block page.
Meanwhile, Allison has been making these blocks – so beautiful!
And Sarah’s quilt for her mother in law is just beautiful, like the rest of the photos in her post, go check them out!
Meanwhile, Lea Anne’s happy, spring dresden quilt will surely put a smile on your face!
Ok guys, time to link up one of your posts from this week! It could be a finished quilt, or your latest quilting bee blocks, or a cushion, or anything else quilty related. And did you know you can link directly to an Instagram pic too?! So if you want to link from there, you can do that too – link up as normal, and use #sewcutetuesday and @blossomheartquilts on IG to help us find you from there too.

Yeah, I’m not the biggest fan either of putting crooked, wobbly lines, in my nice pristine books, but sometimes it’s a necessary evil. Looking forward to seeing more of your impov blocks!
… oh, thank you so much for sharing my blocks!
